Andrea Meluch, a doctoral student in Communication and Information, has been awarded a University Fellowship for the 2015-2016 academic school year, by the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University.

Meluch receives a doctoral level assistantship appointment for the 2015 Fall semester, and will receive a non-service University Fellowship appointment for the 2016 Spring semester, as well as a stipend to cover tuition and dissertation registration fees.

The University Fellowship is awarded annually to advanced doctoral students in recognition of excellent scholarship and research potential. University Fellowship recipients are able to commit their time to dissertation research or writing. Approximately 15 University Fellowships are awarded each year.

To be eligible for a University Fellowship at Kent State, a student must be a full time doctoral candidate, admitted to candidacy by date of nomination, enrollment in Dissertation II during the fall and spring semesters of the fellowship year, and have outstanding scholarship and research potential.
