Ivy Owusu receives the Graduate Professional and Academic Development Certificate of Participation from Kent State University.

Ivy Owusu has participated in multiple Graduate Professional and Academic Development (GPAD) workshops and has been presented with the GPAD Certificate of Participation from Kent State University

Owusu is among 42 Kent State students to receive this honor in the fall 2016 semester. The one-hour Graduate Professional and Academic Development (GPAD) workshops are free to Kent State graduate students, and are multidisciplinary in nature. The GPAD workshops are offered during a one-week block in the fall and spring semesters.

The GPAD workshops are a collaborative initiative between the university's Division of Graduate Studies and other campus units including University Libraries, Research and Sponsored Programs, Information Services, the Multicultural Center, and the Career Services Center. Facilitated by university faculty, administrators and teaching fellows, the GPAD workshops include topics such as technology tools, searching for grant funding, writing a literature review and negotiating a job salary/offer.
